Every South Dakotan resident has specific elected officials that represent them on the House and Senate Floor. This is determined by the 35 districts this state is divided into. Find who represents YOU by using the SD Legislature website's Find My Legislators map. Locate your address, identify where your district is, click to find the names of your legislators.
Where do I find this year's proposed bills?
South Dakota has state legislative session every January and February of each year. Your legislators will meet at the state capital building in Pierre to propose bills and decide whether or not to make them into laws. To find those bills and identify good/bad policy changes for our state, Find the list of bills and their details/statuses on the SD Legislature website.
